Mexican comedian and YouTube sensation La India Yuridia (aka Perla Yuridia Ruiz Castro) is coming to Canada to perform at Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Friday, September 22 at 7:00PM and at Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre on Friday, September 24 at 7:00PM. A fierce feminist and observational comic, La India Yuridia shines a light on how sexism presents itself in everyday situations. Each La India Yuridia’s shows is unique as she riffs about motherhood, marriage and the lives of Mexican women presented in her unscripted, improvisational style. A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Yuridia Ruiz Castro made her comedic debut in Chis Chas Chou in 1997, when she was just 14 years old. Today, her YouTube channel has more than 500 thousand subscribers and over 1 million views. She is a judge on the reality show “Televisa” in Mexico and on “Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento” in the United States.
