If you don’t know the story of my blog, everything started 3 and a half years ago, while I was on maternity leave with Mia. I found that I couldn’t stay at home so we were always outside exploring all of these small businesses and local brands.
Supporting Local is so close to my heart, and I try to do it as much as my wallet let me. There are many online stores out there carrying local brands, but local boom it’s been my to go to, whenever I want to send a gift to someone. If you think about it, make sense! You are buying something you need (and that you would buy anyway) but at the same time you are giving back to your community.
I discovered Local Boom last winter, when my friend Kama from ethigal blog was promoting them on her IG, and man, I thought that was brilliant! How did I never think about a business like this?
They began back in 2017 with the goal of helping Canadian brands to grow while supporting Canadian communities across the country. Their platform is full of Canadian treasures made by talented entrepreneurs, from Organic and natural skincare to Protein bars and vegan products, AND the prices are so reasonable. If you are following on Instagram you can see how much they donate to local organizations.
