My Fort Langley Guide..

IMG_4091

No plans this weekend? Have you been in Fort Langley?

If you are an explorer like me, you may want to get in touch with BC’s roots, and If I remember correctly what I studied for my citizenship exam, everything gets back to Fort Langley!

This little community is so unique! Small businesses everywhere, their historic site, friendly people, hikes.. sounds good?

Here are my “must visit” places there:

1-Wendel’s cafe:

We always stop by Wendel’s to grab a cup of coffee to make our walk in the town more cozy, and if we are kidless, we will come back to eat some lunch there.

2- Second stop: Watermelon Tree Store:

If you get excited about baby clothes, you may want to visit Watermelon Tree. They have the coolest local brands and the most beautiful dresses for girls. Also there is like a “kids” area where your toddler can play while you take a look on the store!

3-  Village Antiques Store:

If you are into Antiques and home decor, this is your place! They have lots of treasures in this store, You can spend hours looking to every single item they have. This is my mother in law favourite place lol!

4- Historic Site:

This is one of the coolest historic places I’ve been! I have to give this to my Husband who was the one that found it and right now is FREE. You would find live demonstrations with costumed interpreters, activities like “finding gold”, feed the animals, and if you are lucky you would be able to try their roasted nuts they are preparing in one of the historic houses. The tour in the main house if you are into history is your place!

5- And Last but not Least.. Maria’s Gelato:

Just to finish your tour and leave with a sweet taste, stop by Maria’s gelato! Their Dulce de Leche as you can see in this picture is my favourite one LOL!
